The most extravagant variety show Nottingham has ever seen - The Gilded Merkin - is making a welcome return to Glee Club Nottingham, Sunday 11th August 2013. Featuring the very best international acts. Dress to impress and join the fun for an evening of glamour, comedy, music and more!

Taking us through this extravaganza will be the gin drinking cabaret darling, musical comedy misfit and acid-tongued ringmaster, Joe Black. One of the leading figures in the dark cabaret genre, Joe Black has toured extensively across the world. He has raised the roof at the British Library in London, astounded the rock elite at the 'Kerrang!' Awards and headlined music and arts events worldwide.

Star performer and distinctive in her style, Luna Rosa is the epitome of classic exotica. A beautiful reincarnation of yester-year, she takes the audience to another world with seductive charm and statuesque elegance. Hilarious, glamorous and exuberantly irreverent, the diminutive Fancy Chance is the undisputed comic spectacle of the UK burlesque, variety & vaudeville circuit, and the best tassel twirler east of the Atlantic.

The Gilded Merkin will also be welcoming International Burlesque sensation Cherry Shakewell, The Lady of the Cake! In her dancing career she has travelled the world wiggling and whirling for the likes of Gucci, Fatboy Slim, Richard Branson, Colin Farrell, Fun Lovin Criminals, David Walliams and Jeremy Irons. An exotic international burlesque artist, Domino Barbeau guides her audiences through an ethereal and intoxicating dream-world of secret chambers, exotic lairs and smoke filled opium dens.

Also featuring Kiki Lovechild. A silent clown that has wowed international crowds with comedy and burlesque routines described by the press as 'fantastically inventive', 'hot and humorous', 'astounding' and 'burlesque with a difference!' Best known in the UK for his puppet burlesque routines, Kiki is often referred to as the 'King of FURlesque'.

All overseen by Scarlett Daggers, the one who makes all this possible... the lady behind the Merkin. This Rock'N' Roll redhead will get you hot under the collar with her sizzling stage presence and smouldering gaze, not to mention the fact that she plays with fire! From a Hot Rod greaser-girl to a B movie Cobra Queen, Scarlett Daggers' unique acts certainly make her stand out from the crowd.
