Some Details...

Rick Sheehan is a name on everybody's lips, Rick the Entertainer, Rick the Comic, Rick the Musician, Show host, compare etc. You name it he can do it, and in the style that the big stars do!

Having started at the tender age of four making his debut at a family party. Rick made people laugh and decided that was his destiny; says Rick "I knew then and there that is what I wanted to do".

Following the careers of big names Rick studied all his influential idols, thus fulfilling his destiny to become a professional entertainer in later life.

At 12 years Rick taught himself to play Drums and by 14 he was a member of the school teacher's jazz band known affectionately as the "Brook Side Jazz Band".

Working in Social Clubs and Pubs. He was soon to star in all the school plays and reviews. By 17 Rick was in a trio as a drummer/backing vocalist, which travelled around the midlands alongside various other bands.

With the help of his friend Roger Wild, they put Ricks first solo Cabaret Show together.

After doing the pubs and clubs, Rick became a name that was very much in demand. With quite a few talent contests under his belt and winning many, and now going from 3 spots per gig to doing a 1 hour spot, things were moving nicely. He is a regular at Venues such as "The Maid Marion Club" now Club Tropicana, in Lincolnshire as support as well as headlining.

He is also a regular at Pontins - Blackpool, Southport, Prestatyn, Hemsby, Pakefield and Brean Sands. Other big Cabaret venues include: N.E.C Birmingham Woolacombe Bay Summer Season, Brean Sands, Starlight Coalville, The Zanzibar (Nationwide Chain) Walk-a-bout (Nationwide chain), as well as the world famous Butlins Group Heaven holidays and Thompsons Gold holidays.

One massive achievement that Rick is VERY proud of is winning Entertainer of the year for Pontins 5 TIMES2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2007. This represented the culmination of years of hard work travelling up and down the country refining his act in order to achieve such valuable recognition.

Rick has also achieved the title of Entertainer of the year 1998 for North Staffs/ South Cheshire via the Entertainments council.

2005 was a great year ending with an invitation to help switch on the Derby Christmas lights with a crowd of around 5000 people. Rick is a vital component in a big show production and has vast theatre, club land, corporate and holiday camp experience. The Show is tailored for family entertainment, and can be enjoyed by young and old alike. Highlights of the Show are the tributes to FREDDIE MERCURY and ELTON JOHN. With lots of Comedy and lots of fun! All of which are built around audience participation.

(apart from his summer season work in the uk 2008) Rick has performed in DUBAI, USA, CANADA, SPAIN and PORTUGAL. Working with acts from today and yesteryear such as Hermans Hermits at the Lincoln county showground, The Dreamers at The club Tropicana Skegness and toured with Ricky Tomlinson (ROYLE FAMILY FAME) and many others.
Many memorable dates have come and gone, a couple in particular stand out, appearing on the 'ONE SHOW' BBC1 prime time, live in November 2011 and turning on of the lights for christmas 2011 in his village Spondon in Derby with a crowd of 3500 people. Rick was truly honored. Times are changing now and cabaret entertainers are becoming few. Rick is still at it and going strong. Lets hope 2012 is a good one

Well its been a while.

This year has been pretty busy so far. I have worked at The green room Liverpool with Ricky Tomlinson. Worked all over the UK in my other act with Roger Wild. We are known as
"The Wild Boyz ...... watch out Europe next year........
I have been asked to turn on the lights again this year in my local village Spondon with another guy ..ROY WOOD from ELO, Wizzard, & The Move fame.......
