Some Details...
The Rosellys have a country feel mixed with folk and a rhythmical acoustic sound unique only to themselves. Their up beat tracks are foot tapping homegrown songs far too catchy to forget and their slower tunes are simply beautiful, checkout their debut album Drive Through The Night as soon as you can.
About The Rosellys
One day last spring.... The Rosellys met at an open mic night in the romantic western town called Watford, just off Highway M1. Rebecca, made in Germany although bred in Watford and living in Nottingham, had got up and sung a couple of covers with a scratched together band (including her Mother). After a cheesy chat up line and swapping numbers, it was only a matter of time before they were on stage doin what they do best.. From the age of 12 Simon, Watford born and bred, (with a Louisiana Soul) was on stage with the Cajun/Zydeco Swamp Rock group The Bon Temp Playboys and deppin with other artists travelling throughout the uk as well as Denmark, Israel, the States, and a bit of television and radio work for Carlton and the BBC along the way. With Rebeccas Mother being a Cellist/ Music Teacher, and her Father the conductor for the English Touring Opera, She has led a very musical life and is a very accomplished Cellist, pianist and now a Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter, not to mention studying Medicine. Last summer The Rosellys spent 9 weeks playing coast to coast across America. They toured through California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida in a 1971 VW Campervan. With their new 'Martin and Co' guitars bought in Vegas they have new material influenced by such a mamoth musical country.
