This year the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic and the Royal Northern College of Music were awarded the South Bank Show classical music award with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra for 'Nielsen: Inextinguishable', a collaboration celebrating the work of Carl Nielsen.

Accompanying the Hallé is Natasha Marsh – the Welsh operatic soprano signed to EMI. A highly acclaimed performer, Natasha has toured with well known artists such as G4, Russell Watson and ll Divo and her debut album, Amour, topped the classical album charts in 2007.
