Award-winning Brighton-based comedienne Zoe Lyons (hi res pics available on request) headlines the Funhouse Comedy Club night at The Grove in Lenton on Tuesday May 12th.

She created a huge buzz on the comedy circuit in 2004 when she won the 'Nivea Funny Women Award 2004' and reached the finals of 'Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny Award' in the same year. As a result she has become a highly sought after act on both the national and international circuit.

Zoe takes a sideways view of life, picking out the many absurdities and turning them into hilarious routines which she delivers with tremendous energy.

In 2007 she was nominated for Edinburgh Festival’s prestigious If.Comedy Newcomer Award and then last year her popularity went up another big notch with a guest appearance on BBC1’s hit show “Mock The Week”.

Also appearing are rising stars Richard King, Lewis Bryan, Gerry Howell, Daniel Smith plus compere Spiky Mike.
