‘1976’ is a new 5 piece retro covers band based in Derby. The band is fronted by a superb, young female singer and backed by experienced musical craftsmen. We focus on music since most of us are too old for hype.

You can’t pin us down since we play covers from Michael Jackson to Deep Purple, from The Rolling Stones to Donna Summer. We’re fresh.

If pressed our style is ‘disco-metal’ since we play pop/rock with driving dance floor beats that keep people on their feet. Many of the songs have been re-worked for dance floor dynamic or general ‘beat wallop’ for those who want to stand at the bar.

Our 3,000W PA system means we can play pubs, clubs, halls, weddings and parties (inside or out). People lose control. That’s the way we like it.
