The performance, which is open to all, will take place at 1pm and will give passers by the opportunity to get a taste of Rhodes’ distinctive performance style. Described as a classical pianist with rock star attitude, Rhodes will return to the city on Wednesday 16 November when he will play pieces by Beethoven, Bach, Chopin and Moszkowski at The Forum. The unconventional pianist - rose to prominence 2009 with his first album, Razor Blades, Little Pills, & Big Pianos. His third album Bullets and Lullabies released in December 2010 went straight to No 1 on iTunes' classical download chart. Outrageous, charismatic and brilliant, his casual getup and laid-back attitude dispenses with the ‘straightjacket’ approach to classical music. Known for his informal live performances and a burning desire to seek out new audiences, Rhodes interacts and shares his thoughts on music and composers using his trademark stand-up style. On Wednesday 16 November he brings his charisma and brilliance to the Forum where he’ll be performing classic Beethoven, eye-opening arrangements of Bach and Chopin and a scorching showpiece by Moszkowski.
