American Music Club at Rescue RoomsDate: Sat 9th Feb Time: 19:00 **EARLY SHOW 7pm - 10pm** Saturday 9th February. £14adv AMERICAN MUSIC CLUB + BEE AND FLOWER After a ten year hiatus Mark Eitzel’s American Music Club are back. Over the course of seven acclaimed albums, American Music Club have become recognised as one of the most important, unique and influential US bands. They weave together the disparate strands of the American musical cloth – blues, rock, folk, country, jazz and punk to make a remarkable, distinct and riveting music. Their new album The Golden Age, released on Superchunk’s Merge records on 18th of February, is full of moments of haunting beauty and the honest wheeze and moan of Eitzel’s heartful and eloquent vocals. Bee and Flower is the alchemical offspring of San Francisco transplant Dana Schechter. Schooled in the Nick Cave, Black Heart Procession and P.J. Harvey (sans the distorted guitar) tradition of melancholy mood rock, their music envelops the listener into an intimate, luxurious and orchestrated world, filled with moody strings, piano, percussion, ghostly slide guitars, and lush female vocals. www.american-music-club.com www.beeandflower.com Rescue RoomsMasonic PlaceNottingham Nottinghamshire NG1 5GG (more) Would you like to see more information about Rescue Rooms?
