Nottingham Youth Orchestra at Albert HallDate: Sun 19th Mar Time: 19:30 Sheku Kanneh-Mason, BBC Young Musician 2016 Performing with Nottingham Youth Orchestra Albert Hall, Nottingham 7.30pm NYO’s spring concert features the talented Nottingham born cellist, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, performing Haydn’s Cello Concerto No 1 in C. In May 2016 Sheku won BBC Young Musician of the Year, with his performance of Shostacovich’s Cello Concerto No 1. “A rising star in the classical music world.” Daily Telegraph “The hall crackled with the energy that the 17-year-old produced.” The Times “ He was electric.
