Nottingham Youth Orchestra at Albert HallDate: Sun 26th Nov Time: 19:30 Nottingham Youth Orchestra Sunday 26th November, 7.30 pm Albert Hall, Nottingham Nottingham Youth Orchestra begins a new concert season with a programme of vibrant, uplifting and celebratory music. Our November concert includes Dvořák’s Symphony No.8, Shostakovich’s Festival Overture, Hummel’s Trumpet Concerto, with soloist Daniel Walton, and Márquez’s Conga del Fuego Nuevo. We are delighted to welcome as our guest conductor, Venezuelan born Natalia Luis-Bassa. Natalia is currently Musical Director of the Hallam Sinfonia in Sheffield and Principal Conductor of the Wellington College Symphony Orchestra, Berkshire. She was one of the first musicians to graduate from the renowned El Sistema and has worked with the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra, the National Children’s Orchestra and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
