The show will see a headline set by Sarah Keyworth (As seen on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats and more), a former Nottingham local returning to help kick off this fantastic week of shows, alongside three more fantastic pro comedians: Rob Mulholland, Njambi McGrath and Thomas Green.

The event will kick-off a week of comedy across the city which includes stand up, musical comedy, panel shows, improv, podcasts and much, much more across dozens of venues in the city. Full details can be seen at www.nottinghamcomedyfestival.co.uk.

Headliner Sarah Keyworth says: “I’m delighted to be back in my home town helping to kick start an exciting week of comedy across the city! After the launch show I’m going to get some cheese, chips and gravy because nowhere does it better than Notts! Hopefully I’ll see you there! At the Launch show… not the chippy, though we could do both?"

The organiser of Late Stage Comedy, John Morris, says, “Nottingham is such a fantastically funny city. I’m delighted to be kicking off this year’s festival with such a great event and hope we can keep pushing forwards the comedy scene in Nottingham. This is only the beginning.”

Anita Bush, from Squires PAC, says: “We are so excited to be welcoming such brilliant comedians to Squire PAC as part of Nottingham Comedy Festival and helping to spread laughter across the city!”

Thomas Green - MC

Green is as engaging as he is energetic, with a high-calibre stage presence and countless faces and voices that come through his standup. A former school teacher, Green swapped the whiteboard marker for a mic, and hasn't looked back since. His knack for crowd-work and improvisation has seen him become a sought after MC (Midlands Best MC Award nominee 2018), building a reputation on the UK circuit as an interactive and cheekily abrasive comic.

Green began his career by selling out his first festival run in hometown Adelaide (2012), being nominated the following year for Best Emerging Comedy and since has only gone from strength to strength, selling out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe.
