Some Details...
The Farndon Boathouse was formerly known as The New Ferry Restaurant and went through a major redevelopment & refurbishment programme in the summer of 2008. This part new-build and extensive renovation project is in the style of an old boathouse that has been tastefully converted into a modern eatery!
Built using many natural materials, clad in wood, warehouse-style lighting, chunky exposed roof trusses, stone floors and an abundance of glass and by-fold doors, this building sits wonderfully well on the banks of the River Trent.
The Farndon Boathouse re-opened as a fashionable, bar and eatery, serving fresh modern food, using local produce and at most reasonable prices.

The Boathouse serves an ever changing selection of cask conditioned real ales, fine wines and continental beers. With live music every Sunday evening from 8.30pm; this buzzing new venue is the place to be this summer.
Not even one year after opening, we were voted 'Runner up' for both 'Best out of town' and 'Best Newcomer' in the 2009 Nottingham Restaurant Awards, rewarding our total commitment to great food & quality service.
The bar and restaurant is situated in a stunning location, with river views from an extensively glazed frontage, modern outdoor terrace and raised decking.
In wintertime, you can be assured of a warm welcome with roaring open-fires to keep you cosy & snug. However, it's sure to become a top summer destination too; and with great adjacent nature reserve walks, this will always be a truly wonderful setting for either a relaxed meal or just a peaceful drink; whilst gazing-out over the meandering river and across the rolling country shires beyond...
